Our products are made from top quality materials which contain no harmful chemicals are easy to clean and meet all the required safety standards. 

Providing safe furniture for the children who use our products is very important to us.  Therefore our themed products incorporate features such as curved edges, beds which are low to the ground and mirrors made from tempered glass which, if broken, shatter and hold in place rather than breaking into large pieces.

Our new Young America children's furniture is made from solid hardwood, the manufacturing process incorporates a 20+ step finish process developed and formulated specifically for furniture to be used by children.   

As a manufacturer Young America understands that keeping your child safe is a top priority, and they pride themselves on being pioneers in children's bedroom safety.  Young America products comply with all guidelines set forth by the Consumer Products Safety Commission and American Society for Testing and Materials.  They also supporting members of the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association.

Hidden Treasures

Young America's furniture offers a host of hidden treasures such as automatic drawer stops where heavy duty metal guides slide smoothly, prevent warping and offer patented automatic stops.  All wood fully sanded drawer interiors have finished bottom panels with a protective coating preventing splinters or cracks.

Adjustable levellers are included in the majority of their products where an adjustable insert allows the furniture to be easily set up in older homes where floors may not be exactly level.  Their taller units have tip restraints in the form of a tipping kit that can secure the backs of cases to the wall deterring dangerous tipping.  All finishes are child-safe, lead free with formaldehyde free coatings.

Dovetailing - Traditional English and French devetailing at drawer fronts and backs represent the old-fashioned craftsmanship still used today for its lasting strength.

Ho-Lo bed Rail Locking System - The Hi-lock position raises the bed to accommodate underbed storage or sleep options.  Or, select the Lo-Lock position and add a pair of safety rails to convert most twin and double beds to a transition bed.

Spacious Drawers - Solid ply constructed side, bottom and back panels provide maximum storage.

Dust Panels - Hardwood frames and inset panels between each drawer keep clothes dust free, add stability and sturdiness and protect contents from shifting.

Wooden Corner Blocks - Solid hardwood corner blocks are glued and fastened in place with screws adding sturdiness and strength to cases and chairs.

Kiln-Dried Solid Lumber - Solid woods are dried and cured to specifically controlled levels of moisture content for maximum durability and strength over the life of each piece of furniture

Quality Veneers - Usually mistaken for a short cut to save expense, high grade, select veneers provide smooth, flat surfaces on end panels and tops where solid lumber would allow warping over time.

Mortise and Tenon - Cases are made with this time honored technique, using notched joints to securely fasten interior structures for lasting durability.

Hardware - Detailed finishes such as custom-crafted brass, nickel, pewter or other metal decorative hardware as well as the softest round turnings of wood knobs for maximum safety in a child's room.

All our products carry a 2 year guarantee period against major manufacturing defects. 

Distressing Finishes - Some of our items have a distressed finish which creates an aging effect intended to convey the authentic look of traditional antique furniture - with all the marks of age that are accumulated over many years.  The photographs below help to illustrate the nature of these finishes:
